The Human Computer Interaction Group is part of EPFL, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, one of the leading universities in Europe. It is located near Lausanne, which is 30 miles away from Geneva, in the french speaking part of Switzerland.
Our group’s overall goal is to innovate information technology for users and enterprises. Our philosophy lies in user-centered design. We examine user’s adoption and interaction with new technology, the design and creation of it, and how it impacts our lives and our interaction with each other.
Our solutions often come from methods and knowledge in human-machine interaction (HCI), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cognitive science, and information visualization.
